Robot Model

3D model model made during my first year of university. I'd already been using Blender for years but this was my first time using Maya.

The model was first blocked out by stretching out a series of spheres, blocking out this way helped give the robot a softer more organic silhouette. Then mesh was then made using Maya's Quad Draw, a very handy way to create edge flow across the rounded surfaces. While I've always been a Blender fan, this tool is far superior to Blender's implementation.
The flat panels made UV'ing easy and the model was then textured in Substance Painter and rendered with Arnold.
